Dr. Ghalib Al Hosni Chairman of the board
Dr. Ghalib Saif Al Hosni is the CPO of Human Resources Unit. He joined Omantel in 1991. Dr Ghalib has the responsibility for Omantel's strategic human resources activities, including workforce development and organization effectiveness, benefits and compensation, HR processes and information management etc. His accomplishments include creating award-winning Human resources processes and successful employee engagement programs. Dr Ghalib has introduced a series of new HR programs ranging from Voluntary End of Service, Job Evaluation to several employee engagement initiatives. Dr. Ghalib holds Doctorate of Management from Webster University, Missouri United States. He serves on the boards of the few other companies in Oman. Dr. Ghalib is the Chairmen of Oman Society of Human Resource Management and board member of the Arabian Society of Human Resources. Also, he is the president of IFTDO and board member of IPA. In 2012, he won the GCC HR Professional Award, followed by the best HR Professional in Private Sector award in 2013.
Dr. Ali Al Abri Vice President
Ali is General Manager & Country Head of HR at HSBC Bank Oman. He graduated in Business Administration, Foreign Trade and Investment. Ali has extensive experience and professional qualifications in the field of Human Resources whilst serving tenure with the InterContinental Hotel Group from 1995, wherein he assumed different roles within HR, Learning and Development. He also served as Head for HR for Al Bustan Palace Hotel and Regional Director, Manpower Planning for the Group in Oman. Ali is a founding member of Oman Bankers Association and serves in the Broad of Directors of Oman Society for Human Resources Management.

Mohammed Al Maimani Treasurer
Mohammed is the Manager of Human Resources and Training at Oman Investment and Finance Company S.A.O.G (OIFC). He holds a Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management from Massey University from New Zealand and currently he is perusing his MBA from University of Bedfordshire. In New Zealand, he was the President of International Students at Massey University and the President of the Omani Students’ Association for 2 years. Mohammed joined OIFC 5 years ago as Senior Executive- HR then he was promoted to handle the entire Training and Development Section. Recently he was promoted to handle entire HR and Training Section.
Manal Al Harthy Board Member
Senior Manager Training & Development at Oman Telecommunications company. She is a highly competent, proactive and results-driven Senior L&D Manager, with an in-depth knowledge of HR, Marketing, Sales and Administration. Manal is a trusted advisor on key strategic issues and a history of close working relationships with senior business heads. She has a diverse and extensive experience, ranging from leadership roles in pivotal initiatives to driving learning innovations, underpinned by excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Manal is a talented people manager with a proven track record of building, restructuring and mentoring successful teams. Her focus is on aligning individual learning outcomes with overall corporate strategic objectives, in order to improve effectiveness, productivity and profitability across the entire organization.
Majid Al Rawahi Board Member
Majid Al Rawahi is Lead Human Capital at ASYAD (Oman Global Logistics Group) and OSHRM founding member since 2010. Majid Has extensive experience in Human Capital development filed span in different industries including; infrastructure, Oil and Gas, Airport and Logistics. Majid has Bachelor degree in Commerce and Economics from SQU and MBA from Franklin University in the State.
Mohammed Al Riyami Board Member
Mohammed Ahmed Al-Riyami is currently Senior Manager HR Workforce Planning at Omantel. He received his BSc in Management from Sultan Qaboos University (2002). He is also qualified as associate member from CIPD (Chartered Institution of Personnel and Development). He was also awarded in 2014 as one of the youngest leaders in Oman (Business Professional Award 2014).
Mohammed Al-Riyami is Certified Human Resources Professional in a number of key functional areas within HRM mainly Strategic Workforce Planning, Career development, Performance management and talent management. Total of 15 years of experience, working in different sectors (Government, Oil & Gas, Consultation, and Telecommunication) have enabled him to build good business understanding of various industries and given him the opportunity to develop strong expertise in HRM and HR Planning.
Said Al Rashdi Board Member
Said is an HR professional with over 14+ years of robust experience in varied HR functions like HR Strategy, Talent Management, Talent Development, Performance Management and Oragnizational Development.
He holds a master in business administration from Hull University Business School and a senior certified professional from Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP). He has worked with local public listed companies like Omantel & Al Batinah Investment Holding, and international companies in world fortune list like Honeywell, Shell & Halliburton.
Said has been with OSHRM since foundation, have led the membership committee, and been responsible for agreements with education institutes like Sultan Qaboos University and Higher College of Technology Muscat. Now he is directing events committee.
Adham Al Ghazali Board Member
Adham Yousuf Abdullah Al-Ghazali is currently a Senior Consultant HR at Shell. He received his Masters in International Human Resources Management from Manchester, UK.
Adham is passionate in developing talent and drives change, works with a diverse population, building and maintaining professional relationships.
Adham is an academic lecturer in HR, and a certified Shell trainer conducting seminars, programs and facilitating trainings and workshops.
Adham is an HR Professional with 12 years of experience in Oil & Gas/Global Energy, entrepreneurship, HR provisions and leadership in a multinational corporate, previously worked as an HR Manager, Regional MENA Recruitment Manager, Employee Relations Lead, HR Account Manager in; upstream, downstream, joint-ventures semi-government organizations, trading and regional/MENA HR roles, managing multiple projects in different cities in and outside Oman.
